NOVEL FROG 28. Training and the System
The next morning, they split up as planned. Eloisss and Lindisss headed back to the Rhumba, while Miu headed out to gather herbs for medicine and seasonings.
Bonny sat cross-legged, holding hands with her twin. Kanae had never changed back, so still looked like a clone of Bonny.
Bonny looked at fake-Bonny’s naked breasts and exposed pussy, and licked her lips. Would it be cheating if they did anything? It felt wrong without either Miu or Eloisss, so she thought it would. She would definitely need to bring it up when they got back, just to make sure neither minded. She didn't think they would, since she'd brought up the prospect of additional partners back at The Oak.
Still, just to be sure, she would verify they were all ok with her creating a harem of beautiful women of various species. She smiled at the thought.
Bonny closed her eyes and concentrated on her aura. It had come back this morning, which was part of the reason everyone else had left quickly.
The aura ballooned around her in a sphere about seven feet in radius with her at the center. She had a much better sense of it after the training the day prior.
“Ready?” fake-Bonny asked.
Bonny nodded and felt the force push in through one hand. She allowed it, pulled at it. “What is this?”
“Mana. I push in. Cycle, then leave. Feel it. No talk.”
Bonny concentrated on the mana cycle. It came in through one hand, crossed through her upper chest and caressed her heart, looped down and touched her core, then circled back up, crossing the stream and exiting along her other arm. She concentrated following the stream and realized the loop wasn’t as straightforward as it seemed. It was full of eddies and swirls, tiny smaller loops that branched off the main stream and rejoined.
The cycle nourished her body, spreading mana, and magic, throughout. “Will this increase my Magic Control?”
“No talk! Feel it.”
Bonny went back to concentrating again. Following the whorls, getting lost in the currents. It started as a series of pulses, like the first time, but smoothed out over time, becoming a constant stream. There were still beats, in time with her heart, a stronger force that diminished as it flowed through.
Each time the pulse touched her core, it warmed her slightly. She felt herself growing warm, then hot. She panted to lower her temperature, ears up to catch the breeze and release more heat. The heat pooled in her lower abdomen and sweat trickled down her groin to pool beneath her.
Bonny did her best to ignore the heat, the sweat, the distractions. She felt again for her aura bubble and pulled. Each time the pulse touched her core, she pulled. Just slightly.
Afraid of what happened the day before, she didn’t try to hold on to it, just tug and release. When the aura shivered and wavered, unstable, she stopped and felt the ripples, holding her breath. The aura slowly stabilized and she tried again. And again. And again.
“Enough. We stop now.”
The words intruded, interrupted, disturbed her. She ignored them and followed the next pulse. It touched her blazing hot core and she wondered briefly if that was a problem, but followed the pulse as it flowed on and dissipated into the constant stream of mana that exited into her twin.
The next pulse never came.
Bonny opened her eyes to see herself looking back. She looked exhausted, fatigued. Sweat dripped from her cute little nose and erect nipples.
Bonny looked lower and saw the pool of sweat and non-sweat beneath her twin. Fake-Bonny’s pussy gaped open between her crossed legs, a trickle of fluid seeping out and dripping down.
She looked down at herself to see the same thing. She blushed and looked up to see her twin blushing as well. Her core still felt hot and her loins ached. She wanted to lick the sweat and fluid from the other bunny, but resisted.
“Uh, what happened?”
“Cycle too long. Good progress. Need drink.”
“Ok. But let’s lay down first.” They did, releasing one hand and laying down, side by side, still holding on with the other.
Bonny thought hard for a moment until she remembered she had a skill for water. She imagined two small clouds raining water into their open mouths. “Create Water!”
Tiny clouds, each about a third of the size of the one last night, slowly formed and dripped water onto their faces.
Fake-Bonny laughed, delighted.
Real Bonny laughed at the laughter.
Miu returned to find the two Bonnys soaked and laughing up at miniature storms that vented their anger upon the two bunnies.
She watched for a minute, before asking, “You ok, nya?”
One of the Bonnys waved her over. “Come, join us.”
Miu did.
The storm over the real Bonny stretched and dripped its fury on Miu as well. The laughter started again and Miu wondered briefly what she had gotten herself into.
Sometime later they got up, slightly damp. More from the sweat than the water. They made their way down the slope to the stream and bathed, then returned.
Bonny felt the lust aura still in affect, but its effect was diminished by the effort and will she had expended during her meditation. Neither Kanae nor Miu seemed adversely influenced. When she looked down at herself, she could see the lights and shadows that shifted around on her fur and skin, but they were dim, muted, and slow.
Kanae remained in bunny form, but since she didn't have the light and shadow aura, it wasn't like anyone would be confused. “Bonny. Check status. Change?”

“There are some changes: elemental affinity, magic control, and aura control. Oh, and my will. That lets me use the demon spells, right? And aura stuff, I guess.”
Kanae nodded.
“My create water spell is under non-class skills. Why is that?”
Miu answered, “System doesn’t think it belongs, nya.”
“But clean water is really important for sanitation and cleaning injured people. Can I move it? What does non-class mean?”
“Grows slower, nya. Might be able to transfer it by concentrating. Or praying, if gods really created it.”
Bonny had never been very religious, but thought back to images of people praying back on earth. She knelt and whispered, while thinking about how important clean water was in taking care of patients. She thought of Doctor Semmelweis, the father of hygiene, who was persecuted for suggesting doctors wash their hands. They had discussed him in a nursing class, a lifetime ago.
Maybe in this world, with magical healing, it wasn't as important, but magic was a subclass. There were almost certainly healing classes without magic, that should still know about cleanliness. It was next to godliness, after all.
“Gods, please make ‘create water’ a healer skill.”
There was a brief feeling of being squeezed, then the light and dark shadows on her skin lit up, the light growing blinding and the dark deepening to black. The light show grew chaotic for a minute, then calmed and faded again.
“I, uh, think it worked. Status!” Bonny didn’t wait to be told to check this time.
