In the midst of turmoil, Ye Min’s younger sister, Ye Lin, burst into his room, her eyes wide with shock. "Brother Tian! What’s happening? The world is in chaos!"
Panic etched on his face, Ye Tian rushed in right behind her. "I can feel it too! Something incredible has happened! We need to find Ye Min!"
While they were frantic, Ye Min remained blissfully unaware, immersed in a transformative experience that rendered him oblivious to the chaos unfolding outside. The world was reeling from the consequences of his awakening.
Minutes later, as the first rays of dawn pierced through the window, Ye Min awoke, disoriented and surrounded by an electrifying energy. He sat up, feeling a strange power thrumming within him.
“Ha hah hah, am I still alive?” he panted, bewildered yet exhilarated.
Unbeknownst to him, the world was in uproar. As he stepped into the light of day, he noticed a strange ranking appearing in the sky, with words that left him speechless.

Startled, Ye Min instinctively turned away, but seconds later, a small beam of light shot toward him at incredible speed.
“Argh!” He tried to flee, but the light enveloped him, creating a screen that displayed his character details.

Moments later, Ye Min called out, “System!”
When silence met his command, he repeated, “System!”
After a second failed response, he began to bombard the screen with various names.
“Dragon Leveling System!”
“Immortal System!”
“Shit! Why isn’t this thing responding? I’m so tired of repeating these ridiculous system names!” Ye Min cursed at the golden status screen in frustration.
An hour passed as he struggled to comprehend the golden status. He grasped its basic functions; saying “status” brought up his character details, while “close status” dismissed it.
Feeling the monotony settling in, Ye Min decided to head home.
Inside, after the earthquake, Ye Lin was staring at her own golden status while Ye Tian searched for Ye Min, confusion painting his features. After an hour of contemplation, she finally understood why the status screen had appeared.

Minutes later, Ye Min arrived at the door. “Lin’er, can you open the door?” he called, noticing the house was on the verge of collapsing.
“Lin’er, what happened to the house?” he asked, worry creeping into his voice.
“Big brother!” Ye Lin exclaimed, closing her status screen before opening the cracked door.
“Brother, why are you so late? Father said he would help the village, which is why he rushed there. But where were you?” Ye Lin asked, feigning tears.
“What do you mean?” Ye Min replied, confusion washing over him.
Ye Lin scrutinized her big brother, noticing his obliviousness.
“Huh, big brother, you… you didn’t know there was a huge earthquake earlier, right?”
“What do you mean, earthquake?” Ye Min asked, maintaining an uncharacteristic calmness.
“I mean…” Ye Lin hesitated, then continued, “Brother, you really don’t know anything! Where did you go that you didn’t even feel the immense shaking?” Her frustration surfaced, given her brother’s apparent nonchalance.
Moments later, Ye Lin explained her theory that the Heavenly Dao was signaling the start of the trials, as the announcement had followed the earthquake.
“Haaahh, so the ranking caused the earthquake, huh?” Ye Min pondered, nodding at her speculation.
“Yes, big brother! That’s why, when the teleportation begins, all those 100 geniuses will be teleported to different dimensions. It’s what the previous announcement said!”
“Hmm, although I’m not envious of those geniuses, I’ll still support Ye Tian because of her 8-star potential in the ranking,” Ye Min said, pretending to be unaffected. Yet inside, he felt a pang of anger at her mediocre talent.
Upon hearing her brother’s words, Ye Lin felt a warm glow. Although she didn’t understand why she had 18 stars, she didn’t care. All she could think about was controlling her urge to boast about her ranking and seek validation. With that thought in mind, she headed to the village to help those affected by the earthquake.
Minutes later, after Ye Lin left, Ye Min let out a deep sigh.
“Haaahh, I’ve been doing this for years, but pretending to be calm is really tiresome,” he reflected, his mind racing with thoughts.
Then, an idea struck him.
“Hm, how about changing my name in the status screen?” Ye Min mused, deciding that altering his name might protect his family from those who might covet his background.
Minutes later, he changed his status.
