Chapter 113 Killing You is as Easy as Slaughtering a Dog (2)

“Hmm? They’ve actually dispatched such an elite combat squad?”

Near the Nancheng Bank Headquarters, Wu Mingyu watched the twenty-one members of the Tennin Squad preparing to enter the bank. His eyebrows immediately furrowed, his face registering shock.

“This formidable combat team must be Guiye Mita’s doing,” Ying Yuezi observed, her eyes twinkling slightly.

“The strength of this special unit is impressive, but what’s most notable is their equipment. Those grappling hooks are from Ax Military Industries, each valued at about 200,000 yuan. The total value of their gear exceeds 3 million!” Wu Yaoming, gazing at the Tennin Squad members, expressed his shock and envy.

“That expensive?” Wang Yue responded in surprise.

“Yes, and this isn’t even the top tier. The gear for a top-tier special forces operative in the United States, when converted to our currency, costs over four million. Of course, that’s among the world’s most elite,” Wu Yaoming explained, a hint of wistfulness in his tone. “The combined equipment of these Japanese program inspectors is worth 70 to 80 million yuan. It’s no surprise, given that he’s the heir of the Guiye family. They certainly have the funds!”

“They’ve entered the bank. Do you think Wang Yun could really be taken down by them?” Ying Yuezi asked, unable to hide her concern.

“This… this squad’s power is terrifying, and their equipment is exceptionally advanced,” Kolyev observed, watching the Tennin Squad. His expression was a mix of shock and discomfort: “Their chances of success are actually around 60 to 70 percent.”

Kolyev’s words caused the other captains to furrow their brows in concern. They certainly didn’t want these arrogant individuals to take down Wang Yun. Perhaps, this was the one time they didn’t want to see Wang Yun captured.

However, Wang Yun, standing not too far away, observed this scene and faintly overheard their conversation. His expression subtly shifted as he focused on the group about to enter the bank’s headquarters, his face etched with gravity.

If he were still inside the Nancheng Bank headquarters, these twenty-odd fully equipped elites might well overpower him. But now that he was outside, the likelihood of Brother Hu and his team being defeated was about 90%. He knew Brother Hu’s combat skills were only average. Against such elites, they stood no chance, especially given the enemy’s superior weapons and equipment.

This situation was something Wang Yun hadn’t anticipated. His gaze flickered slightly as he looked towards two buildings to his right and started walking in that direction.

Simultaneously, Wang Yun took out his phone, composed a message, and sent it to Brother Hu.

Message: “An elite special forces team has entered the bank. Be cautious and use the hostages as a shield. If they breach your location, immediately lead the hostages out and surrender without resistance.”

After sending the message, Wang Yun spoke to his technological chip, “Production team, if Brother Hu and his team are captured, will they be sent to prison? That’s what would happen in reality, right?”

Although the live streaming function of the technological chip was disabled, its communication feature with the production team was still active.

“Hmm?”

In the production team’s control room, the producers suddenly heard Wang Yun’s voice, momentarily taken aback. Then, a realization dawned on them, their mouths opening in surprise.

“Yes, typically, given the severity of their crimes, Hu Sanqing and his team would be incarcerated in Nancheng’s most secure prison. They’d be tried within a couple of weeks and eventually face execution,” the executive producer responded after a few seconds of contemplation.

“Understood, I got it,” Wang Yun nodded, his expression unchanging.

Being imprisoned? Then there was still a chance. He continued to ponder, approached the building, surveyed the surroundings, and entered.

His primary objective today was Nancheng Bank, nothing more. He simply intended to exact revenge on Nancheng Bank and then withdraw safely. But was it really that difficult?

The unexpected involvement of the Japanese program inspection team and their advanced equipment had thrown Wang Yun’s plan into disarray. Now, having disrupted his plan, they would have to pay a steep price.

Wang Yun chuckled coldly.

“I was going to let your Japan’s program inspection team strut around for a day or two, but since that’s how it is… hehe! Want my head, huh?”

He laughed derisively and stepped into the elevator.

Ascending to the top floor, he strode directly toward the emergency staircase. Approaching the stairs leading to the rooftop, he ascended with deliberate steps.

“Hmm?”

As he climbed the stairs, he abruptly paused, his gaze sharpening as he noticed something. In a corner lay a small piece of technological equipment, designed for surveillance. Should he cross its path, an alert would be triggered.

“Quite cautious, aren’t they?” he mused, examining it closely.

‘Purchase: God-Level Electrician!’

Faced with anything related to technology and electricity, Wang Yun didn’t hesitate to elevate his advanced electrician skills to a god-like prowess. He deftly used a small knife to tamper with the device, rendering it inert.

Then, with a flick of his wrist, a handgun appeared in his hand. He cautiously walked onto the rooftop and surveyed the surroundings. His eyes landed on a Tennin sniper perched above, his rifle aimed toward the entrance of the Nancheng Bank below.

Wang Yun’s gaze shifted to the right. He saw another sniper stationed on an opposite rooftop, also targeting the bank’s entrance.

‘Eliminate this sniper in ten seconds and don his clothes, or else the longer it takes, the greater the risk of being detected,’ Wang Yun strategized in his mind.

He crouched and moved stealthily, his approach as silent as a wraith. Unaware of Wang Yun’s presence, the sniper ahead remained oblivious to the impending danger.

As Wang Yun reached right behind him, he sprang up swiftly. The silencer-equipped pistol in his hand struck the sniper’s unprotected face. He then quickly muffled the sniper’s mouth and removed his communicator.

“You’re dead,” Wang Yun uttered coldly.

His words, automatically translated into Japanese by his translator device, stunned the sniper who gaped at him in disbelief.

Without hesitation, Wang Yun stripped the sniper of his uniform. The shocked Japanese sniper didn’t resist, in his mind, he was already dead. Motionless, he watched as Wang Yun swiftly donned his gear and finally, the helmet.

“Stay here and don’t move. You know the rules, right?” Wang Yun said once more.

The Japanese sniper nodded, understanding all too well. Now fully equipped, Wang Yun took position with the sniper rifle.

“Purchase: God-Level Sniper Skills.”

In a moment of determination, Wang Yun immediately upgraded to god-level sniper expertise.

Typically, snipers are paired with observers who gather all essential data, including wind direction. But having acquired god-level skills, Wang Yun now had all this information at his fingertips. He had already secured a sniper rifle, positioned conveniently nearby. Originally, his plan for today included using the sniper rifle, but it was to facilitate Brother Hu’s escape.

Now, it seemed increasingly unlikely that Brother Hu and his team could escape. Their arrangement with the hostages inside the bank required at least ten more minutes. Time they didn’t have.

It appeared Wang Yun had no choice but to resort to a rampage.

As he set up the sniper rifle, Wang Yun checked its ammunition. The sniper had a total of twenty rounds.

“This is that device that can embed itself into walls. The Japanese program inspection team’s equipment is indeed state-of-the-art,” Wang Yun noted, inspecting the gear with a slight sigh.

The combat equipment was top-notch.

With a slight chuckle, Wang Yun peered through the sniper scope, his gaze fixating on the area below as his lips curled into a smirk. Eliminating Captain Mita now seemed as effortless as slaughtering a dog. Yes, that simple. Yet, Wang Yun held his fire, opting to wait silently.

In his line of sight, twenty-one elite inspectors of the Tennin Squad had already breached the windows, infiltrating the Nancheng Bank.

“Hmm?”

In the lobby of Nancheng Bank Headquarters, Brother Hu and his team received Wang Yun’s message. His face underwent a dramatic shift upon reading it.

“Surrender directly?” he muttered under his breath, no longer entangling the wires, his gaze shifting alertly towards the staircase.

He quickly instructed his subordinates, adamant about adhering strictly to the boss’s orders.

Nearby, a bank employee under hypnosis, still wearing Wang Yun’s facial disguise, sat motionless, mechanically chewing gum. A closer inspection would reveal his pupils were dilated, void of any real presence.

“Report to Captain Mita, we’ve all entered,” came a message from elsewhere.

The Japan Program Inspection Team’s twenty-one Tennin Squad members had fully infiltrated the building and reported back immediately.

Captain Mita’s eyes lit up with determination as he commanded loudly, “Good, good, be cautious. Today, we must eliminate Wang Yun and his group completely, leave no one behind, and fulfill the order.”

It was a death order.

“Don’t worry, Captain Mita, we guarantee to complete the mission,” confidently replied a member of the Tennin Squad. Despite knowing Wang Yun’s formidable strength, the squad was still supremely confident.

Upon hearing this, a smile crept onto Captain Mita’s face. He gazed intensely at the entrance of Nancheng Bank, his fists clenched tightly. Victory seemed within his grasp.

“How shall I teach you a lesson?” he pondered.

Unbeknownst to him, from a high-rise building nearby, Wang Yun, listening to the conversation through his communicator, had his eyes shimmering with anticipation.

Note: I could translate Tennin as Heavenly Ninja, but I got influenced by Naruto (genin). 😀
