American Comics: The Mighty Superman, Starting From Gwen Spider

Chapter 1: Gwen Spider World

In a slightly messy desk, a young boy is sleeping with folded arms.

As if hearing some noise, Peter Parker's body twitched slightly, then slowly raised his head and rubbed his eyes.

Looking around, Peter was dazed for a moment before realizing that he had already traveled through time.

Three days ago, Peter crossed over to the world of American comics and became the famous Spider-Man Peter Parker from a previous life.

As a fan of superhero movies, Peter had watched all the live-action Spider-Man movies and some of the Spider-Man comics.

In the movies, Spider-Man had all experienced the loss of loved ones, and the same was true in the comics.

It could be said that Spider-Man's losses seemed to be an inevitable fate, evoking sympathy.

Therefore, when Peter learned that he had become Peter Parker through time travel, he was actually very resistant in his heart.

For Peter, if becoming a superhero meant losing loved ones, he would rather not!

But later, in order to further understand the situation of this world, Peter went online to gather some useful information for himself.

In the end, Peter was surprised to find that there was already a Spider-Man in the world he had crossed over to!

The Spider-Man featured in newspapers and news wore a black and white battle suit with a white hood at the back. In addition to these external features, the elbows of the Spider-Man's battle suit and the hood of the spider web were adorned with a girlish pink color.

When Peter saw the appearance of this Spider-Man, he was quite shocked.

But it was also from that moment that Peter realized that he had actually crossed over to the universe of Spider-Gwen!

The Marvel universe has many parallel universes.

And in one of these parallel universes, the one who became Spider-Man was not Peter Parker, but a girl named Gwen Stacy!

In most universes where Spider-Man exists, he grows up by sacrificing loved ones.

But Spider-Gwen's world is different.

The person who truly helped Spider-Gwen grow and understand that "with great power comes great responsibility" was her high school classmate, Peter Parker!

Peter remembered very clearly that in the world of Spider-Gwen, because Gwen became Spider-Man, Peter Parker remained an ordinary person. Moreover, he was often bullied by classmates, which eventually led Peter Parker down the wrong path.

Peter attempted to seek revenge on those who bullied him in high school and injected himself with a homemade serum, becoming the Lizard.

Although the Lizard version of Peter Parker was eventually subdued by Spider-Gwen, he ultimately died in front of her.

Upon learning that he might be sacrificed in the future, Peter wasn't particularly panicked. Like most predecessors who have traveled through time, he had a Gold Finger!

In this life, Peter wanted to use this Gold Finger to become powerful enough.

Only by becoming strong enough could he protect the people around him and avoid losing them!

Only by becoming strong enough could he qualify to enjoy everything in this world!

Just as Peter's thoughts became complicated, there was a gentle knock on the door--

"Peter, how much longer are you going to make Gwen wait? If you don't hurry up, we'll be late," Aunt May's voice came from outside.

"Uh, ah, sorry, I'll tidy up right away!"

Peter had been organizing the two different sets of memories in his mind these past few days. Just when he finally finished, he realized that it was already the morning of the first day of school.

Quickly changing his clothes, Peter grabbed his backpack and walked out of the room, arriving in the living room.

Sitting at the dining table in the living room was a beautiful girl with shoulder-length golden hair.

Gwen rested her cheek on her hand and waved gently at Peter.

"Hey, Peter, good morning~"

"Hi, Gwen, good morning."

In Gwen's Spider-Verse, Peter and Gwen had grown up together since they were young.

Peter and Gwen's families lived in the same apartment building, with their front doors right next to each other.

Uncle Ben, who was sitting on the side, put down the newspaper and looked at Peter, who seemed a bit listless, and said softly, "Listen to me, Peter, young people should have some vitality in the morning, shouldn't they?"

"Just like this Tony Stark in the newspaper, no matter when the media captures him, he always looks energetic."

Uncle Ben's words made Peter want to retort immediately, but the words never made it to his lips.

Glancing at his Gold Finger, which was already loaded to 99.99%, Peter responded with a smile, "Uncle Ben, I'll try my best to make changes."

"Although I really want to see you change, you can take it slow, Peter." Uncle Ben put his hand on Peter's shoulder and patted it gently.

Peter pulled a chair up to the dining table and sat down, eating bread and drinking milk.

Under Gwen's gentle gaze, breakfast quickly came to an end.

Before leaving, Peter rummaged through his backpack, making sure his favorite camera and various documents were all there, confirming that nothing had been left behind.

...

Coming down from the apartment building, Peter and Gwen stood side by side on the roadside.

A cool breeze blew, and a few seconds later, Peter turned his head and asked, "Gwen, if I remember correctly, it should be Uncle George who is supposed to drive us to school today, right?"

"Dad suddenly had a task and rushed to the police station, so we can only take the bus to school today," Gwen said helplessly.

"To be honest, I understand, Gwen. Uncle George is a respected police officer, isn't he?"

"Yeah..." Gwen lowered her head slightly, a hint of complexity flashing in her eyes.

Although Peter noticed Gwen's unusual behavior, he didn't ask further.

Gwen's father was the commissioner of the New York City Police Department, so it was normal for someone in such a high position to be busy.

The bus quickly stopped at the platform, and Peter and Gwen walked onto the school bus with their backpacks, then found two empty seats and sat down.

"Peter, if I hadn't called you today, would you have been late?" Gwen held her backpack and looked at him with a playful smile.

"Probably...maybe, I guess?" Peter replied.

"Let me think, is this what you call nonsense literature? It's not very nice to brush people off with this attitude," Gwen said.

Peter looked at Gwen seriously and said, "Gwen, I really appreciate your help. Can you feel my sincerity?"

"Haha, I can feel your goodwill," Gwen blinked.

"Speaking of which, I don't know if it's just my imagination, but ever since this summer vacation ended, I can clearly feel that you, Peter, have changed a lot," Gwen said.

"Hmm?" Peter remained calm on the surface, but he was surprised in his heart.

Although Peter had tried his best to behave the same as before, there were still some differences as a time traveler.

As a girl, Gwen was observant and it was normal for her to notice changes in the people around her.

Just as Peter was about to come up with an excuse for himself, Gwen spoke again, "But I really like the changes in you, Peter. Boys should be more active, that's how they can attract girls."

After speaking, Gwen seemed to realize something, her face blushing slightly as she prepared to defend herself.

But at this moment, Peter responded to her, "You're right, Gwen, just like Uncle Ben said, I should make some changes, shouldn't I?"

Gwen felt a slight sense of frustration that Peter didn't seem to notice her feelings.

Peter really is a bookworm.

The bus quickly arrived at the entrance of Midtown Science High School.

The first day of the new semester was bustling, with energetic male and female high school students everywhere at the school gate and on campus.

As soon as the two got off the bus, Gwen, who was beside Peter, quickly became the center of attention.

Peter and Gwen walked side by side, but sadly, most people automatically ignored Peter and treated him as if he were invisible.

This is Peter Parker, the invisible one in school.

Compared to Peter, who is invisible, Gwen is very popular at Midtown High School.

Gwen not only has outstanding looks and good grades, but more importantly, she has a father who is the police chief in New York City. It is the combination of these factors that makes Gwen so popular and eye-catching at school.

Although Peter's grades are also among the top in school and he is handsome, his personality is too weak.

It is precisely because of his weak personality that everyone wants to bully Peter, which is why he is not liked by others.

But everything will change starting today.

"Gwen, let's go to class first—" Peter's voice suddenly stopped, and his footsteps paused.

The reason was that the progress bar of the character panel in Peter's body had finally reached one hundred percent!
