Chapter 1349: Li Jingzhe and the Faceless Other King

Outside the Treasure Domain, in the void.

Li Jingzhe indifferently observed the figure in the shadows as his placid voice filled with terrifying pressure resounded throughout the void.

"I just sensed some Other activity earlier. Who would have thought it would lead to one of the Origin Reversion Institute's Thirteen Other Kings, the Faceless Other King? Wherever the Origin Reversion Institute can be found, chaos is sure to ensue. So tell me, just what are you plotting in the Treasure Domain?"

The Faceless Other King's empty face began to squirm and low laughter rumbled outwards. "Well, that isn't possible. Even though you are a Quasi-Triple Crown King, Li Jingzhe, I cannot reveal the Origin Reversion Institute's plans."

Li Jingzhe didn't seem to be surprised with this answer. His deep gaze penetrated through the barrier, into the depths of the Treasure Domain, before lingering on the golden talisman that was floating in the air.

An indescribably mystical aura flowed around the talisman, and even Li Jingzhe felt a sense of solemnity just from looking at it.

After all, this aura was the product of the four Heavenly Emperors banding together.

"I suppose the Origin Reversion Institute's goal is to destroy the Four Heavenly Emperors' Sealing Talisman? After all, the Treasure Domain contains a gigantic amount of corruption, all of which has been suppressed by it. You plan to release all of it, and when combined with the Stygian Rain of Calamity, completely destroy the World's End River Region," Li Jingzhe said calmly.

The Faceless Other King let out a strange laugh. "Perhaps we might even be able to kill off all of the Kings watching over the World's End River Region and really cause the Heavenly Emperor Bloodlines in the Heavenly Origin Divine Continent to squirm."

"Here's the only thing I don't understand. The Four Heavenly Emperors' Sealing Talisman contains the power of the four Heavenly Emperors, and even you and the three Grand Other Kings who sit atop the Thirteen Other Kings cannot destroy it from the outside."

The Grand Other Kings that Li Jingzhe was referring to were the three strongest Other Kings amongst the Thirteen Other Kings. They were all Triple Crowned Kings!

The Faceless Other King laughed yet again. "How would you be able to guess the intentions of the Origin Reversion Institute? I advise you not to meddle in matters that do not concern you. If the Origin Reversion Institute gets angry, it wouldn't be difficult to overthrow the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li."

Li Jingzhe smiled. He had a good understanding of how massive the Origin Reversion Institute was; when it came to resources and foundation, the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li simply couldn't compare. However, if they truly had the ability to act so brazenly, they wouldn't be as secretive as they were now.

Thus, the Faceless Other King's threatening words were just thin air.

"The Four Heavenly Emperors' Sealing Talisman cannot be penetrated from the outside; even Triple Crowned Kings are unable to move it. If I had to come up with a method to get rid of it, then I would say a King Stage existence has to take action from within the Treasure Domain. However, because of the Four Heavenly Emperors' Sealing Talisman's suppression, Kings cannot enter. And the Treasure Domain is unable to give birth to an Other King."

At this point, Li Jingzhe began to closely observe the World's End River Treasure Domain yet again, and he coolly continued, "I suppose you've come up with some ploy to create a King Stage existence within the Treasure Domain and plan to upend the balance of things?"

"What do you think?" The Faceless Other King began to cackle.

Li Jingzhe shook his head. "It looks like I will have to suppress you and slowly interrogate you."

When he finished speaking, all the worldly natural energy in the World's End River Region seemed to surge towards his location, and three vast and majestic crowns took form above him.

The third crown seemed the most supreme and noble, giving off an incredible air of majesty that would deter anyone from looking at it directly. Every rune engraved upon it seemed to have been condensed from the world's source origin and gave off a unique charm.

The only thing was that this third crown was a little illusory.

Endless amounts of clear light descended, and a gigantic hand took form. A golden dragon that was hundreds of thousands of feet long coiled around it, and the hand held a golden bamboo stalk that flashed with thunder. Lastly, an inscrutable and magical azure wind flowed around the bamboo itself.

The moment that technique began to form, the entire World's End River Region began to shake and numerous individuals raised their heads. What they saw was that terrifying sight descending from the heavens.

The Faceless Other King could feel the oppressive prowess of that strike and no longer dared to look at Li Jingzhe in contempt. It stretched out its sharp finger, pierced through its cheek, and ripped it open violently.

All the skin on its head was torn off.

The facial skin then began to expand, transforming into a humongous face hundreds of thousands of feet wide that floated in the sky. The only notable feature was that the mouth contained black fangs.

The mouth began to spew out acrid, inky smoke that contained countless faces, and all the faces began doing the same.

If this were to continue, the inky smog would envelope the entirety of the World's End River Region, which would be a terrifying result.

Soon after, the gigantic hand that was wielding the thunder bamboo flowing with azure wind struck down heavily.

Boom!

In that instant, the entire World's End River Region trembled immensely and devastating energy tempests raged everywhere.

Even in the skies above, the vast World's End River shook due to the energy fluctuations.

The inky smog was instantly vaporized when the giant hand smashed through the void. When it landed, the humongous face was shattered into tiny pieces. The shreds streaked across the sky, resembling black meteorites when they struck the earth. This created tens of thousands of miles of scorched earth.

The Faceless Other King let out a groan, and faint cracks appeared on its skin. At the next moment, black flames surged out and burned its entire body into ashes, which scattered on the ground.

"Want to run?" When Li Jingzhe saw this, he waved his sleeve. An endless amount of divine azure wind flowed out of it, tunneling into the void.

At the same time.

There were many bustling streets in the World's End River Region's numerous cities. In one particular alley, there was a person who was laughing and chatting with someone. However, to everyone's surprise, he immediately stopped talking and turned to leave.

When he was a distance away, a gust of divine azure wind pierced the void, immediately blasting a bloody hole through his head.

Despite that, the person didn't stop moving, instead breaking into a sprint. His entire body emanated corruption that began to spread in all directions.

Fearful shouts rang out, and the people in charge of protecting the city hurriedly set out to exterminate the corruption.

Similar events took place throughout many cities the World's End River Region.

The Faceless Other King's backup plans exceeded one's imagination.

However, Li Jingzhe's divine wind was capable of accurately determining its position each and every time. It blasted through the void with incredible speed, and every single clone was chased and decimated. In the time required for half an incense stick to burn, countless clones were wiped from the face of the world.

At that point, a pained groan could be heard in the void. That was when a piece of facial skin belonging to a child appeared, falling down onto the ground before being crushed by yet another gust of azure wind.

It looked as though the search to destroy all traces of the Faceless Other King had ended.

Li Jingzhe waved his sleeve once again, and the numerous gusts of azure wind swept back towards him after going all across the region.

The Faceless Other King had cut off one of its life faces, finally ending the pursuit of the Divine Azure Wind.

But then a venomous voice reverberated through the depths of the void. "Li Jingzhe, I will remember this. Do you think you'll be able to prevent the Origin Reversion Institute's ploy? That is simply wishful thinking. Even if Heavenly Emperor Li were to come here, he would be unable to stop us!"

Li Jingzhe frowned. The Faceless Other King was only a Dual Crowned King, but his ability to escape was unparalleled.

It was then that the surrounding worldly natural energy began to rumble and three people emanating endless amounts of majesty arrived from the void.

"Lineage Chief Jingzhe, were you exchanging blows with someone?" The one who spoke was a wizened elder sitting atop a gigantic, white elephant. It was the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhu's White Elephant King, Zhu Yuan. The other two were naturally Qin Jiujie and Divine Tiger King Zhao Zong.

Li Jingzhe glanced at the three of them and said, "It was the Origin Reversion Institute's Faceless Other King. The fact that it was skulking around here indicates that the Origin Reversion Institute is plotting something."

These words immediately caused the expressions of the trio to change.

"It has been severely injured by me and has fled. However, I doubt it will choose to leave the World's End River Region. I recommend that the four of us join hands and root him out. At the same time, we need to spread word of this back to our lineages. Any plot of theirs is bound to be heaven-shaking, and I'm afraid the four of us might not be able to contain it," Li Jingzhe explained.

Qin Jiujie frowned. "Li Jingzhe, the Faceless Other King is merely a Dual Crowned King. There is no need to act with such great fanfare. Furthermore, with the four of us present, he wouldn't dare to cause any more trouble."

"The Faceless Other King itself isn't a huge threat, but the fact that the Origin Reversion Institute has been planning something for countless years and yet we have heard nothing about it is cause for concern," Li Jingzhe emotionlessly replied.

His words were met with Zhu Yuan and Zhao Zong's unhesitating approval. Qin Jiujie's gaze flickered, but he didn't speak further. However, at this point in time, Li Jingzhe's expression changed and he raised his head to look towards the humongous river above.

The seemingly eternal river began to churn with terrifying fluctuations.

The entire World's End River Region began to tremble due to the turbulence of the World's End River.

Numerous terrified gazes were directed towards the skies.

Boom!

Heavy rain started to descend upon them, covering every inch of the World's End River Region.

This rain was deep black in color.

The Stygian Rain of Calamity had descended ahead of time.
