A Light Within Darkness.

Chapter XXV

In the time it took me to finally finish building the ship I hadn't managed to get much time to actually cultivate so I only went from the seventh level of the nascent realm to the late eighth level but on the other hand, the repeated dual cultivation sessions I had with Elesmere had greatly increased the density of my inner sun.

Either way the ship was finally finished being built in its shrunken-down form. "So, what will we do for furniture as I noticed other than the two large seats you went out of your way to create in the control room?" Elesmere questioned curiously.

"Oh, a nice stone bed would work just fine. If anything, it will help clear your mind and meditate better." I joked.

But my elf found absolutely no humor in joke as she deadpanned in the same tone every woman of any race will when they are utterly disgusted by a situated. "I am not sleeping on bed made out of rock and we will not join together on a rock of all places!" She said very pointedly, and I didn't go out of my way to mention how our kitchen counters or the tops of our dressers were smooth rockcrete... In other words, she had been pounded on many a rockcrete surface and never complained before.

But I didn't say anything as proving a woman wrong, only leads you to only not getting a morning quickie by a horny elf who wants to bang one out before she gets deep into her own meditation and creating Wraith-Bone for me to work on.

"With the ship all but completed I was going to have us just pull in the furniture through the loading dock and should we survive taking off the planet then we can bother decorating the ship's living quarters." I explained with Elesmere sniffing at my male disdain at not wanting to spend another six damned months arguing about what color the interior of the ship's cafeteria should be.

Frankly my ship was a massive five-hundred-meter-long ship that was fully capable of supporting the cultivation of thousands of cultivators of various strength levels once I the captain and the ship itself built up enough power as the ship would condense various forms of spiritual energies to fulfill its various duties which is what took so long to make all the Array Plates for.

The ship would have its own gravity system and an enclosed habitat with an herb garden close to the control room and living quarters in the centermost section of the ship not to mention the other amenities.

But filling out all the tiny details on a ship bigger than anything ever built in my old life even with my cultivation was frankly a waste of time right now.

"Don't worry our personal rooms will be furnished, but until we get to whichever world, we decide to make home, I rather not bother with spending so much more time on this ship." I consoled Elesmere and after making some promises that she could decorate the other rooms other than the control room and herb plantation center which were very delicate and special rooms I gave her freedom to decorate however she desired.

Even as I was putting the finishing touches on my ship, I realized a rather important fact. "What should we name her?" I asked Elesmere as my naming abilities wasn't exactly my forte.

"Hmm why don't we call her, The Pure?" She offered and I hummed in thought as I stared at the ship that was very similar to Space Pirate Harlock's ship, The Arcadia, but it for one didn't have the massive skull on its front as that was just begging for the ship to acquire evil karma and its nascent sentience to turn twisted.

Then I had a cheeky thought as I looked at Elesmere and spoke. "I remember a tale of your kind and one of their cities were actually very similar to your very name. How about we name her Ellesméra?"

Eragon was my favorite fantasy story during my teenage years in my past life so paying homage to the capital of the worlds elves was all well in good in theory, but unfortunately Elesmere remembered a little detail I myself forgot in the heat of the moment.

"Didn't you say in time the ship's sentience will allow it to create it's body?" She drawled and then I was confused if she was thinking I wanted to rail a artifact spirit with a similar name to her or something?

"Well, we could consider this a work of love between the two of us, so I wanted it to take a bit of your name and it just kind of fitted." I said as I finally finished the final touches, I wanted to add to the ship with the materials we had on hand.

"Hmm the name does fit... and with the ship being painted in such a beautiful dark blue such a name will fit on it well." She pondered before smiling and leaning over thread her hands through my hair to kiss me gently across the lips. "Thank you, Jake, for all your hard work." She said smiling as she withdrew and stared at me with unknowable emotions brewing behind her green eyes.

I only nodded in agreement before I looked around the warehouse we took over before I exhaled deeply. "Alright Elesmere, we need to set up some charges to blow off the walls and roof of the warehouse at the same time so the spatial array can collapse and allow us to load up the fill-sized ship and take off quickly before the Imperial Guard can arrive," I explained even as I honestly doubted any weapons the guard could wheel through the roads of the Lower Hive, we were in could actually damage my ship at all.

"Don't worry Jake we will leave this planet with any issues I can feel it deep in my bones." Elesmere assured me confidently as she had firmly believed this work of art ship was all but impervious to " Mon-keigh" weapons which with it being bathed in my Nine Yang Solar flames the hull of the ship was certainly immune to laser and plasma weaponry.

For an Eldar to speak so... Empathically of our union and a liken it to feeling of being close to the gods of the Eldar people, definitely made me feel proud as a man.
